A Stern Chase Is A Long Chase
A downloadable Breathless Game
The Fleet was once a great force, scores of ship projecting their power throughout the stars. That ended with one cataclysmic battle against The Enemy. What remains lacks the strength to stand and fight. Fleeing is the only real option.
Hope remains, however, because the Fleet’s flight is not without purpose. If it can reach its goal, a kind of victory can be achieved.
However, The Enemy continues to pursue the Fleet, determined to wipe out the few ships that remain. The Fleet will struggle to stay ahead of them as systems break down, ammo runs out, and crewmembers collapse from exhaustion. As it was on the oceans of the homeworld, so too is it among the stars -

Fleeing breathlessly in your fleet! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Terse and economical, A Stern Chase immediately inspires the admiral in you to begin barking orders. Could easily drop into another scifi story to provide lightweight, impactful space faring action!
Thank you! Got some immediate steps lined up:
1) Guidance for GMs on setting mission difficulty/length, with trackers. 2) Two example missions per mission type. 3) Some examples for things like what the Enemy is and what kind of goals the Fleet could be traveling towards.
I really like this, and I'd like to see the idea developed a little more. As is often the case, I find myself reading and thinking "This is really interesting, but I don't trust myself to have enough mission ideas to pull it off."
I hope it eventually gets some more attention. :)
Thank you! Example missions and some examples-of-play are definitely on the top of the list for taking the game to a more polished finish.
While reading it:
IT BURNS!
(Thank you!)
